UNDP's works with the Government, civil society and development partners in four broad programmatic areas; Poverty Reduction and Gender, Democratic Governance, Energy and Environment and Crisis Prevention and Recovery.
Well there are multiple challenges that pakistan is facing now a days like energy crises, security, Unemployment,loadshedding, poverty, water shortage and food crises like non availability of sugar in market that is a basic need of daily life. unfortunately we always know through our media that the government is taking measurements and all the problems will be solved. I would like to give an example of loadshedding that the government initially announced through their representative Raja Parvaiz Minister for Water and Power that the loadshedding will be finished in December 2009. But later on the date was again announced that the problem will be solved till March 2010 now i do hope that this problem will be still constant in the year 2010.
ReplyDeletePakistan came into existance under severe crisis . over a period of 63 years our crisis 've just changed direction and intensity but they've always been there.
ReplyDeletethe major challenge at the moment is to reinstate out identity. The world looks towards Pakistan as a pro-terrorist state, though various statements are often heard off from White House and Pentagon that we are playing a key role in fighting this menace but they don't seem to come whole heartedly.
the geo-strategic location of Pakistan is of prime importance to the western-superpowers as it provides complete dominance in the area.
if we only realize what is WORLD-PEACE then not only Pakistan but many other 3rd world countries who are in far more dilapidated conditions will see an end to all sort of crisis.
